World Karate Federation( WKF) and Koyamada International Foundation( KIF) subscribe to a memorandum of understanding to fight gender-grounded violence.

The World Karate Federation( WKF) and Koyamada International Foundation( KIF) have blazoned a cooperation agreement to foster cooperation to promote social cohesion and gender equivalency and to fight gender-grounded violence through the practice of karate.

The Memorandum of Understanding( MoU) formalises the collaboration of the two realities to apply far-reaching enterprise to use Karate to empower vulnerable sectors of the population, especially girls and youthful women who have suffered any form of abuse.

The WKF and KIF agree to apply for common development programmes in localised homes and to strengthen enterprises aimed at integrating the practice of Karate into conditioning to eventually ameliorate the living conditions of underprivileged populations.

WKF President Antonio Espinós said

“ The WKF (World Karate Federation) is committed to doing its utmost to use the core principles of karate to fight demarcation of any kind. In particular, the quip of karate makes our sport the right tool to help girls and women who have suffered from gender-grounded violence. As the defence of people in need is one of the main rudiments of our strategic plan, this agreement with KIF puts us on the right path to contribute to a better world and to further demonstrate the numerous values and greatness of Karate. It’s also one further suggestion that Karate is veritably important in line with the Agenda 2020 5. ”

KIF Chairman Shin Koyamada said

“ In our global trouble to achieve the gender equivalency of the SDGs established by the United Nations, KIF is committed to empowering girls and women to cover themselves from all forms of gender-grounded violence( GBV). As a 25- time old Japanese Karate guru myself, I believe martial trades like Karate could give those vulnerable girls and youthful women a number of excellent physical and internal health benefits, which could help end GBV. To achieve that, I’m truly feted and lowered to mate with the outstanding transnational sports organisation WKF. In addition, I’m veritably thankful to WKF for taking action toward achieving gender equivalency using karate with us. ”
